01 / AGREE THE CHECKPOINTS

Match each check to the selected product

The inspection plan should identify what will be checked, which sample or specification it is compared with, and how differences will be reviewed. Scope and acceptance criteria are agreed for the order.

  • Materials, components & assembly

Review the specified materials, supplied parts, assembly and appearance against the agreed product configuration. Identify any project-specific checks before production.

  • Functions & learning content

Check the actual modes, controls and compatible content included with the selected model. Where applicable, review sound, light, scoring, pen interaction or block/module operation against the approved sample.

  • Packaging & shipment preparation

Review included items, artwork, instructions, labels and carton details. Discuss buyer or third-party inspection requirements and how findings will be addressed before shipment.

02 / CONFIRM THE SCOPE

Testing & documentation for your project

Testing needs depend on the final model, configuration, intended use and destination market. A document for one product or version should not be assumed to cover a different configuration.

  • Identify the model and changes

State the model, accessories, electronics and content included in the order. Highlight changes to materials, functions, packaging or intended use that need to be reviewed.

  • Request the relevant evidence

Discuss the documents needed for your selected model and market. Review product identification, the covered configuration, report scope and applicable version before relying on a document.

  • Agree inspection and testing arrangements

Share known testing requirements and any customer or third-party inspection process. Confirm testing and documentation availability for the selected model and configuration, together with the agreed scope and responsibilities.

03 / REVIEW BEFORE APPROVAL

Make the sample review useful for both teams

Record the selected model and sample version alongside your observations. This creates a clear reference when artwork, learning content, accessories or packaging change.

  • Check the product you intend to buy

Compare included parts, function modes, instructions, content compatibility and packaging with the agreed brief. For teaching projects, also assess setup, reset and storage in your intended activity.

  • Record differences and confirm the outcome

List each issue or requested change and review it with YSGO. Confirm the final sample, content and packaging versions separately before relying on them as the order reference.

Questions before you start

Does a catalog listing mean a product is certified for my market?

A catalog identifies product options. Testing and documentation must be checked for the selected model, configuration and target market; request the relevant scope during project review.

Can we arrange our own inspection?

Customer or third-party inspection can be discussed for the project. Share your inspection scope, timing needs and reporting process so the arrangements can be reviewed with the order.
